Product Introduction
The Concrete Divider Surrogate is designed for active safety, intelligent driving and road departure mitigation testing in controlled proving-ground environments. It provides a realistic roadside concrete divider object for evaluating vehicle perception, road-edge recognition, lane departure mitigation and vehicle response performance in typical road departure scenarios.
Each standard concrete divider surrogate section has a 2 m modular length. Multiple sections can be connected to form continuous divider layouts of different lengths, supporting flexible roadside scenario construction for proving-ground testing.
The product reproduces the representative appearance, geometry, LiDAR reflectance and automotive radar reflection characteristics of real concrete dividers. It can be configured to represent common concrete divider profiles, including F-shape, New Jersey shape, single-slope shape and vertical-type divider profiles. These divider types are representative of typical roadside concrete barriers used in road departure scenarios.
The outer surface is designed with representative concrete-gray color and texture. The typical central color is approximately RGB 168, 161, 149, with a representative range from RGB 203, 195, 182 to RGB 137, 131, 120, allowing the surrogate to provide realistic visual characteristics for camera-based perception testing.
The surrogate adopts a soft, lightweight and vehicle-friendly structure. It is suitable for repeated crash, contact and high-speed approach tests while reducing the risk of damage to the test vehicle. The modular structure allows quick installation, connection, reassembly, replacement and maintenance.
The product is compatible with automotive cameras, LiDARs and radars. Its infrared reflectance is designed to represent concrete divider surface characteristics over the near-infrared range, and its radar reflection coefficient can be configured to match representative dry concrete divider surfaces at both 24 GHz and 77 GHzautomotive radar bands.
