Product Introduction

Product Description

The Beijing-Style Metal Guardrail Target is designed for autonomous driving, lane-keeping assistance, road-edge recognition and roadside facility perception testing in controlled proving-ground environments. The target replicates the typical Beijing-style urban roadside guardrail commonly used in Chinese urban traffic environments, providing a realistic and repeatable roadside facility surrogate for intelligent vehicle testing.

It is suitable for evaluating camera, millimeter-wave radar and LiDAR-based perception systems, as well as lane keeping, road boundary recognition, obstacle avoidance, path planning and road facility classification functions. The target can be used in urban road scenarios, intersection approaches, median separation scenarios, roadside protection scenarios and closed-course ADAS validation tests.

Configuration

The target consists of:

  • Vertical posts
  • Base units
  • Guardrail cross beams
  • U-shaped curved tube assemblies

Key Features

The target is developed with reference to the geometry, appearance and structural characteristics of Beijing-style urban guardrails, providing representative visual and geometric features for intelligent vehicle testing in Chinese road environments.

It supports multiple sensing solutions, including vision, millimeter-wave radar and LiDAR, enabling comprehensive evaluation of roadside facility detection and road-edge perception performance.

The target adopts a flexible, vehicle-friendly design with no sharp or rigid damaging structures, reducing the risk of vehicle damage during impact. It is suitable for repeated closed-course testing and can withstand impact speeds up to 60 km/h without damage.

The modular structure allows convenient installation, relocation and scenario configuration, and can be combined with lane markings, curbs, water-filled barriers, shrub green belt targets, crash barrels and other roadside facility targets to build complex urban traffic test scenarios.
