Product Description
The European Motorcycle Target is a high-fidelity powered two-wheeler surrogate designed for ADAS and automotive active safety testing. It represents a European-style motorcycle with a helmeted rider and provides realistic visual, millimeter-wave radar, LiDAR and near-infrared characteristics. The target includes key motorcycle features such as wheels, fuel tank, seat, engine, exhaust pipe, handlebar, suspension forks, rear-view mirrors, lights, reflectors and license plate. With rotating-tire or built-in micro-Doppler simulation options, lightweight modular construction, maximum operating speed up to 80 km/h and impact capability up to 80 km/h, it supports repeatable validation of motorcycle detection, FCW and AEB functions.
The target adopts a full 3D motorcycle-and-rider structure, providing realistic visual, millimeter-wave radar and LiDAR characteristics for vehicle perception systems.
The rider dummy is seated in a natural riding posture and equipped with a helmet, jacket, trousers and boots representation. The motorcycle body includes typical European motorcycle features such as fuel tank, seat, engine, exhaust pipe, front/rear wheels, handlebar, suspension forks, rear-view mirrors, lights, reflectors and license plate.
Two wheel-motion simulation options are available. The first option uses rotating tires to reproduce real wheel movement. The second option uses built-in micro-Doppler generators to simulate wheel-rotation-related radar signatures. These configurations support radar-based motorcycle recognition and classification, especially for advanced perception systems using motion features.
The lightweight and modular structure is designed for repeated proving-ground testing. The target can be mounted on low-profile mobile platforms or other target carrier systems and supports high-speed motorcycle scenarios.
